Hutchens named UniSource president

President appoints new head of ANH

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos has appointed Orlando Cabrales Segovia as the new head of the national hydrocarbons agency (ANH) following the resignation of Armando Zamora. Zamora resigned after eight years at the helm, followed rapidly by the resignation of mining and energy minister Carlos Rodado Noriega.

Colombia expands its natural gas exports

Colombia has approved the export of natural gas to Panama and other countries in the Caribbean, expanding an export market that had been limited to Venezuela in order to ensure domestic supply. This change will likely benefit state-run oil company Ecopetrol, Chevron Corp, Canada's Pacific Rubiales and Colombia's Equion Energia Ltd.

Bakken Pipeline approved by NEB

The National Energy Board (NEB) has approved Enbridge Bakken Pipeline Company Inc.’s Bakken Pipeline Project Canada application. The Bakken Pipeline is to connect the Enbridge Pipelines Inc. Mainline to supply the US Midwest and eastern Canadian markets.
