Hardwood kraft fiber line

Metso has recently been awarded a contract to supply Daio Paper Corp. with a rebuild of their hardwood kraft fiberline at their Mishima mill, located on Shikuko island, in Japan. Metso will supply main equipment for the rebuild of the Mishima mill’s fiber line. Metso’s scope of delivery will include a new screening room, an oxygen delignification stage and five latest-generation TwinRoll Evolution wash presses. Two of the presses will be installed as brown stock washers, two as post-oxygen washers and one as a D-stage washer. Start-up of the rebuilt line is scheduled for the end of 2012.
