Swagelok Company has introduced two new options for its M200 power supply, both designed to improve weld consistency and quality. A new automatic inside diameter (ID) purge control system effectively changes purge flow, maintaining proper ID pressure at the weld joint. A hand torch and manual mode accessory are now available for welders who prefer the flexibility of manual welding with the consistency of orbital welding. The Swagelok welding system M200 power supply combines precision and control with easy-to-use touch-screen operation for orbital welding. The new solutions were created to enhance output consistency for a more streamlined experience and generate more welds per day. Automatic ID purge control helps eliminate undesirable welds, which is imperative for industries with high-purity requirements including semiconductor and biopharmaceutical. Swagelok has added a manual mode to its standard orbital functionality, adding flexibility to the welding process. When plugged into the power supply, the hand torch accessory graphically displays all weld output and adjustments. Manual weld controls are featured on the high-resolution, 12.1in color industrial touch-screen. The manual mode is suitable for use in a number of markets, including oil and gas, semiconductor, and biopharmaceutical.
