Niska Gas Storage Partners LLC has appointed Vance E. Powers as Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 January 2011. Powers succeeds Darin T. Olson, who will continue on as Vice President of Finance. Since April 2010 Powers has served Niska as a Finance Management Consultant, playing a role in the completion of Niska’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) and its transition to a publicly-traded Master Limited Partnership. Before joining Niska, Power’s served as Vice President, Finance and Controller of Buckeye Partners, L.P., from 2002 to May 2009. He also served as Buckeye’s Acting Chief Financial Officer from July 2007 until November 2008. He maintained similar positions with Buckeye’s general partner, Buckeye GP Holdings L.P., and participated in the company’s IPO in August 2006.
