Stainless Hygienic Design Latches Can Be Cleaned in Place

JW Winco offers new GN 1150 hygienic design latches, designed to repel dirt. They support the machine and system cleaning concept known as clean in place (CIP), or cleaning of components while they remain fully installed.

The stainless steel cam latches feature FDA-compliant seals of EPDM and TPU, eliminating dead spaces where dirt can collect. When the latch arm is turned 90 degrees, its bevelled surfaces produce a tension that presses covers, hatches, or doors against their opposing element (frame or body). The rotational movement is achieved with a simple blue plastic key featuring a socket with two wrench surfaces, available as an accessory.
