Shaw, EBSE form JV in Brazil

The Shaw Group Inc. has announced a new joint venture between Shaw’s Fabrication & Manufacturing Group and Empresa Brasileira de Solda Eletrica S.A. (EBSE), a leading manufacturer and fabricator in Brazil. The joint venture, EBSE Shaw Spool Solutions Fabricacao de Sistemas de Tubulacao Ltda. (ES3 do Brasil), will offer prefabrication services for stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy piping systems from two existing facilities, one in Pernambuco and another in Rio de Janeiro. With its top-of-the-line piping systems, Shaw is able to Brazil’s growing economy and its infrastructure needs. This joint venture will unite Shaw’s technology and production techniques with EBSE’s history of catering to the Brazilian market, enhancing their competitive position. ES3 do Brasil will supply the Brazilian infrastructure, power, petrochemical, and oil and gas industries. The joint venture will also introduce Shaw’s induction pipe bending technology for spool fabrication and large diameter and heavy wall bends, as well as high-efficiency production and management techniques for pipe fabrication.
