RIDGID, a part of Emerson’s professional tools portfolio, is celebrating its 25th anniversary of introducing to North America its press technology for making connections on copper, carbon steel, and stainless-steel tubing. According to the company, the flameless operation provides secure connections in less than five seconds, wet or dry.
The firm reports that its innovations over the years include the first lithium-ion battery for press tools, the first press tool accessories for cutting strut and soil pipe, the first tools for pressing iron pipe, and the first swivel rings for access to tight spaces.
