JKX commences LPG production in Ukraine

JKX Oil & Gas plc has commenced production and sales of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at its Novo-Nikolaevskoye group of fields in Poltava, Ukraine. Designed and built in Canada, the LPG processing plant was then mobilized to the Ukraine during the second quarter of this year. Storage and loading facilities were built in the Ukraine and completed in June. After commissioning and testing, LPG production commenced on 4 July 2011 and the first commercial cargoes have now been dispatched. Production is scheduled to reach around 80tns per day with daily off-take contracted to pre-qualified wholesale distribution companies.
