Jacobs wins contract by PennDOT

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has awarded Jacobs Engineering Group with a contract to provide intelligent transportation systems (ITS) design and integration support services.

Jacobs will be providing design support, communication network management, system integration support and construction management support for PennDOT’s ITS program. This isn’t the first time that Jacobs will be providing these types of services to PennDOT as they been giving similar support for such contracts since 2008.

In response to the contract, Jacobs Group Vice President Randy Pierce stated, “We are pleased to continue working with PennDOT to help improve the efficiency of the transportation system in Pennsylvania through its robust ITS program.”
