Duluth Metals nickel production grows

The Toronto-based mining company, Duluth Metals, has increased its metal content as well as the tonnage of the resources in four deposits at its Twin Metals project in the northeast area of Minnesota.

AMEC, the British mutli-national consultancy, engineering and project management company, has reported that measured resources are at 268 million tons, indicated resources at 886 million tons and inferred resources at 1.191 billion tons.

The Twin Metals is turning out to be a much larger project than originally anticipated. Both measured and indicated metals contained in the mine are at approximately 4.7 billion pounds of nickel along with 14.7 billion pounds of copper and 5.8 million oz of platinum.
