The Executive Council of the American Supply Association’s Industrial Piping Division has announced that Donald R McNeeley, president and chief operating officer of Chicago Tube & Iron Corp., has been selected to receive the IPD Award of Excellence. Dr McNeeley is also a professor at Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering. He has served as chairman of the Metals Service Center Institute, and his history of service promotes the value of industry trade associations like ASA. In addition to being listed in Who’s Who in America as well as Who’s Who Worldwide, Dr McNeeley is frequently called upon to speak on a variety of subjects related to business, the steel industry, economics, and the intricacies of family-owned companies. The award will be presented to Dr McNeeley during the Weldbend IPD Breakfast on 14 October 2010 at NetworkASA2010: THRIVE in Chicago, Illinois.
