Cambridge introduces Knuckleback™ stainless belt

One of the largest manufacturers of metal conveyor belts, Cambridge Engineered Solutions, has launched its newest, high-temperature stainless steel belt, the Knuckleback™.

The belt is designed with a unique weld that is intended to reduce stretch and slag build-up during high temperature manufacturing.

CSI orders 24-inch HF tube welding line from SMS M

California Steel Industries (CSI), located in Fontana, California, has placed an order with SMS Meer, Germany, for the delivery of a 24-inch HF tube welding line. The line will be used primarily to produce up to 400,000 tons of line pipes according to API 5L.

Usiminas sells CLC-treated heavy plates

Usiminas has just sold the first lot of heavy plates produced with the CLC technology to the energy industry. This is in line with its strategy of adding more value to its products. In total, 2,500 tons were sold to Voith Hydro do Brasil for application in the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Power Plant project.
