Alstom to invest in hydro power in Brazil

Alstom will establish a Global Hydro Technology Centre in Brazil, with a special focus on Kaplan turbines. Approximately EUR 6 million will be invested in this initiative. The Global Technology Centre will be located in Taubaté where the company has its biggest hydro factory, capable of manufacturing all electromechanical equipment for hydro power plants for Brazil and export.

Wind turbine order

Exelon Wind has awarded Denmark-based Vestas an order to supply wind turbines for 59MW in capacity for its Harvest II Wind Project in Michigan. Under the terms of the contract, Vestas will supply, install and commission 33 V100-1.

Gas storage project

newsitemFoster Wheeler AG has announced that Foster Wheeler Upstream, part of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, has been awarded a contract by Ryckman Creek Resources LLC, a subsidiary of Peregrine Midstream Partners LLC, for project management support for the 35 billion-cubic-foot Ryckman Creek natural gas capacity storage facility.
