Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (JEC) has won a contract to provide Project Management Consulting (PMC) services for a new pipe rolling mill near Corpus Christi, Texas from Tianjin Pipe Corporation (TPCO), a global leader in the manufacture of seamless pipe.

Pacific Rubiales Energy (PRE), acting through its wholly owned subsidiary Pacific Stratus Energy Colombia Corp. (PSE), has signed a natural gas/ LNG Liquefaction, Regasification, Storage and Loading Services Agreement with Belgium based EXMAR NV.

President Barack Obama has expressed plans to fast-track an oil pipeline, directing federal agencies to expedite the construction of a 780km pipeline to refineries on the Texas Gulf Coast from Oklahoma.

President Felipe Calderon said Mexico has begun inviting bids for the Northwest Gas Pipeline, a conduit that will stretch for more than 2000km from the border with the US to the western city of Mazatlan and is expected to involve investment of roughly USD 3.5 billion. "I have an announcement of interest not only to Zacatecas (the state where he was speaking) but to the entire country, which is the call for bids for the largest of the pipelines to be built over the next few years, the Northwest Gas Pipeline, as well as other natural gas distribution zones," Calderon. Calderon recalled that last year he unveiled a USD 10.5 billion plan for structural change in the country's natural gas market, including construction of a natural gas pipeline network in central Mexico and the creation of four gas distribution zones.

Wood Group Kenny has been awarded an Enterprise Frame Agreement ('EFA') by Shell Global Solutions International BV ('Shell') to provide subsea, umbilical, riser and flowline (SURF) engineering and construction management services to Shell worldwide, with primary focus on the Asia Pacific region, along with other project-specific awards in Europe.

Fluor Corporation was awarded an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract by Joule Unlimited, Inc., to design and build a biofuels demonstration facility in New Mexico. The facility is intended to scale up a pilot process currently producing liquid fuels via Joule's novel technology, which uses sunlight to convert proprietary organisms and carbon dioxide into liquid hydrocarbons and ethanol.

McDermott International, Inc. (McDermott) announced that one of its subsidiaries was awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) project for Al-Khafji Joint Operations (KJO), in the Hout field in water depths up to 31m.

Shell Oil Co. is poised to unveil the site of a future USD 2 billion petrochemical production unit, a project that marks the natural gas-driven resurgence of the U.S.

The first offshore pile installation operation with the StabFrame, a newly created subsea pile-stabilising template, has been successfully completed in the OGX Waimea field in Brazil's Campos Basin. Used in a joint venture with Drilling Ltd.

Siemens Energy has received another large onshore wind order in the U.S. Following successful completion of its 593.4MW wind projects in Iowa in 2011, MidAmerican Energy Co., headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, is again partnering with Siemens on its 407.1MW wind project expansion in 2012.
