Chevron acquires interest in Canada LNG project

Chevron Canada Limited, has announced that it will acquire a 50 per cent operating interest in the Kitimat liquefied natural gas (LNG) project and proposed Pacific Trail Pipeline (PTP), and a 50 per cent interest in approximately 644,000 acres of petroleum and natural gas rights in the Horn River and Liard Basins in British Columbia, Canada.

Crusader to start iron ore project in 2013

Australia's Crusader Resources plans to start production at its Posse iron ore project in Brazil in 2013 after it has received an operating license from local authorities. The license allows the production of 300,000 mt/year of run-of-mine ore using dry beneficiation.

Technip to install pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico

The Discovery System has awarded Technip a lump sum pipeline installation contract for Discovery’s South Timbalier Block 283 Junction Platform project. The pipelines will be installed between existing facilities at water depths ranging from 83 to 244 meters.
