ATCO secures subcontract on Wheatstone Project

ATCO Structures & Logistics Pty. Ltd has entered into an agreement with Bechtel to design, manufacture, transport, and install 357 modular units for the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project in Western Australia.

Neste Jacobs and Global Oil Shale sign shale agree

Technology, engineering and project management company, Neste Jacobs Oy and energy company Global Oil Shale Group PLC (GOS) have signed a Strategic Oil Shale Development and Engineering Agreement to collaborate in oil shale processing and plant design for converting oil shale into liquid fuel and gas as well as any upgrading required for synthetic crude oil production.

EnerMech expands into the U.S.

Mechanical engineering group EnerMech has invested more than US$20.2 million as it steps up its drive to cement its presence in the U.S. and Mexico. A recent move to a new 50,000 square-foot workshop, office and storage facility near to Houston’s Energy Corridor has been followed with a US$14 million investment in new Process, Pipeline and Umbilical (PPU) equipment and in opening a base at Villahermosa, Mexico.

OCI to provide natural gas boilers for Celanese

Celanese has selected Overland Contracting (OCI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Black & Veatch, to replace its coal-fired boilers with natural gas-fired boilers at a plant in Virginia. OCI will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the project, which is expected to be completed in early 2015.

Subsea 7 wins offshore Mexico contract

Subsea 7 S.A. has been awarded a contract by Pemex to its Mexican joint venture valued at approximately $90 million. The contract comprises the engineering, fabrication and installation of an eight kilometer pipeline, related risers, two slug catchers and two cantilever structures for the Line 67 Project in the Bay of Campeche.

Jacobs awarded Contract from Central Texas Regiona

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been awarded a contract by the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority for road projects located in the MoPac South corridor in Austin, Texas. Mobility Authority officials estimate the contract value at $6 million.

MST to expand facility

Michigan Seamless Tube’s parent company, Optima Specialty Steel, has committed US$25 million to expand its operations and increase production capacity. Michigan Seamless Tube (MST) is a manufacturer of high quality carbon and alloy seamless cold drawn pipe and tube.

ADA-ES wins contracts for ACI and DSI systems

ADA-ES, Inc. has been awarded letters of intent for approximately $30 million in Activated Carbon Injection (ACI) and Dry Sorbent Injection (DSI) systems from multiple utilities. These awards are the result of the recent EPA Mercury and Air Toxics Standard (MATS), which requires coal-fired power plants to reduce emissions of mercury and sulfuric, hydrochloric and other acid gases by April 2015.
