First production from Damar gas development

ExxonMobil has announced that natural gas production has begun at the Damar field off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

The field has a projected capacity of 200 million cubic feet of gas per day.

Solar power plants completed in Georgia

Siemens wins wind turbine contract

Siemens Energy has secured an order from San Francisco-based Pattern Energy Group for their 182MW Panhandle 2 wind power project located in Carson County, Texas, northeast of Amarillo. The project will consist of 79 Siemens SWT-2, 3-108 wind turbines.

New subsea projects for EMAS

The Subsea Services division of EMAS (EMAS AMC), the operating brand of Ezra Holdings, secured projects worth approximately USD 80M, including options. The scope of these projects cover a large spectrum of subsea work, including the decommissioning and towage of an FPSO in Asia and the deployment of an Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) vessel in the Americas.

Layne to construct LNG terminal foundation

Layne Christensen Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Costa Fortuna, which operates as part of the Geoconstruction division, received a contract to perform specialized foundation construction work, including driving steel pipe for a pier and nautical support (jack-up barge), in connection with the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Punto Sayago, Uruguay.

Denso expands North American headquarters

Global automotive supplier DENSO is investing USD 10M and adding 176 new jobs to expand its North American headquarters in Southfield, Michigan. The investment, which includes the purchase of an existing 81,000-square-foot office building on its current campus, will increase its research and development capabilities in the region.
