It has been announced that Universal Stainless & Alloys Products, Inc. has promoted Christopher Zimmer to the role of executive vice president and chief commercial officer.  He has previously held the role of vice president of sales and marketing since 2008.

Piedmont will deliver gas to American power plant

It has been announced that Piedmont Natural Gas has entered into an agreement with Duke Energy to deliver natural gas to the electric utility’s W.S. Lee power generation facility near Anderson, South Carolina.

Texas LNG approved for export to FTA countries

The US Department of energy (DOE) has approved Texas LNG to export domestically produced LNG to all existing and any future countries that enter into an Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the Government of the United States.

Black & Veatch to deliver combined cycle unit

Black & Veatch has been selected to provide engineering services for the installation of a USD 400M combined cycle gas power unit for the Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) in Oklahoma. This will be the first time that the Mitsubishi Heavy Industry J-series combustion turbine is installed in the US.

FERC Approval for Cameron LNG liquefaction project

CB&I congratulated Cameron LNG, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, on receiving authorization from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to site, construct and operate a natural gas liquefaction and export facility at the site of the company's LNG receipt terminal in Hackberry, Louisiana.

Senior resident inspector appointed for Waterford 3 pla

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has chosen Frances Ramirez as the new senior resident inspector at the Waterford 3 nuclear plant that is located in Killona, Louisiana.

Ms. Ramirez first joined the NRC's Region III office in Lisle, Illinois in September 2002, after graduating from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.

Morrison solar power farm approved

Central Minnesota’s Morrison County has approved a solar farm to be built east of Little Falls. The 10-megawatt project is one of several large-scale solar farms that will be built across Central Minnesota over the next ten years.
