AK Steel recently received a Supplier Award for Environmental Achievement from Honda North America, Inc. The award, which was part of the Conservation of Natural Resources category, was presented at Honda’s 23rd Annual Supplier Symposium in Columbus, Ohio.

Over the next 14 months, German biogas plant manufacturer Weltec Biopower, with branches in North and South America, will establish a biogas plant in Aurora, Melbourne. Weltec is partnering with Aquatec Maxcon for the project.

A longtime local industry in Bristol, Tennessee, Bristol Metals, producers of stainless steel pipe and tubing, has begun a $5 million expansion in Partnership Park II, Bristol. The 90,000-square-foot building is being refurbished in order to install a 4,000-ton press that the company hopes will increase its offerings in the international market.

According to the information recently released in the 2015 Bechtel Sustainability Report, the company is undertaking initiatives aimed at removing environmental challenges that threaten natural resources, public health and safety, and sustainability.

Bechtel has been selected by Delfin LNG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fairwood Peninsula Energy Corporation, to perform front-end engineering and design for the first US-based floating liquefied natural gas vessel (FLNGV) to go into service at Port Delfin.
