New graphite discovery in Canada

New icebreaker ready for service

Fednav, the Montreal-based company that specializes in transporting bulk and general cargo worldwide, has announced the arrival of its latest ship, the MV Nunavik.

The icebreaker was built at JMU’s Tsu Shipyard in Japan and will be used for exporting the concentrates produced at the Canadian Royalties owned Nunavik Nickel mine at Deception Bay located in Northern, Quebec.

First integrated nickel pig iron plant

In 2013, Toronto-based Royal Nickel signed an alliance with China’s Tsingshan Holding Group. Both companies had plans to build the world’s first integrated nickel pig iron plant.

Now in the process of being built, the new facility will use nickel sulphide concentrate to make stainless steel.

Management changes at Royal Nickel

Deloitte to push Ring of Fire Development
