Enterprise to expand NGL export facility

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. will expand the partnership's natural gas liquids (NGLs) import/export terminal on the Houston Ship Channel. It is expected that this project will almost double the fully refrigerated export loading capacity for propane and other NGLs at the facility. The capacity will increase to over 10,000 barrels per hour

Williams to produce ethane/ethylene for NOVA

Williams has signed a long-term agreement to produce up to 17,000 barrels per day (bpd) of ethane and ethylene for NOVA Chemicals Corporation. Williams will invest CAD 311 million to expand its two main facilities in Alberta in support of the new agreement. Scheduled to begin operation in the first quarter of 2013

Song new area manager for Jet Edge

Haihong (Samuel) Song has been appointed area manager of Jet Edge, Inc.’s new sales office in Shanghai, China. Song will be in charge of developing Jet Edge’s business presence in China’s swiftly growing manufacturing market. He will be responsible for directly overseeing the Shanghai office

Statoil completes well in Egypt

Statoil has completed the Kiwi well in Egypt’s El Dabaa License (Block 9) this week and the Discoverer Americas drillship will head back to the US Gulf of Mexico shortly. The exploration well targeted the Kiwi prospect located in the Mediterranean west of the Nile Delta, with a water depth of approximately 2700m at the drill site.

Suncor, Total finalize oil sands plans

Suncor Energy Inc. has finalized its strategic union with Total E&P Canada Ltd. after receiving all necessary approvals and effectively meeting all other conditions. This agreement with Total is an important part of Suncor’s plan to quicken development of its growth portfolio and more than double its oil sands production by 2020.

TITAN opens new facilities in India

TITAN Metal Fabricators has opened a wholly-owned production subsidiary in India. TITAN Metal Fabricators India is TITAN’s first expansion outside of the United States. This new operation includes manufacturing facilities in Mathura, 90mi south of New Delhi

TATA in talks to buy B.C. coal mines

TATA Steel has initiated discussion with the government of British Columbia in Canada to acquire coking coal mines. TATA is looking to obtain a coking coal mine for its European operations, which currently have zero raw material integration.

ETP, Regency to acquire LDH

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. (ETP) and Regency Energy Partners LP have formed a joint venture to acquire LDH Energy Asset Holdings LLC from Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy LLC for approximately USD 1.925 billion in cash. LDH owns and operates a natural gas liquids storage, fractionation and transportation business.

Chicago Pneumatic wins Good Design Award

Chicago Pneumatic has received the Good Design Award for its new brand design language for industrial and vehicle service tools, construction tools, and industrial and portable compressors. The Good Design award is granted by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, and the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
