Metal corrodes when it reacts with another substance such as oxygen, hydrogen or bacteria. Corrosion can also happen when metals are placed under too much stress causing the material to crack. Corrosion leads to deterioration of the material. W.E. Anderson, a division of Dwyer Instruments, is introducing the WE02 automated 3-piece NPT stainless steel ball valve.
The ball valve, which is apart of the new WE02 series, has a full port 3-piece stainless steel ball valve that maintains great flow rates with minimal pressure drop.

EOS expands metal portfolio

The manufacturer of additive manufacturing (or 3D printing) systems has announced the expansion of its metal materials portfolio. Newly added is the Titanium Ti64ELI and Stainless Steel 316L. Parts that are built in EOS Stainless Steel 316L alloy have a chemical composition corresponding to ASTM F138, the standard specification for wrought 18Cr-14Ni-2.

Suncor unveils stainless swivel series

Suncor Stainless has recently announced their newly developed line of 23 forged swivels, which meet Federal Specification RR-C-271F Type VII (excluding 316 stainless steel). These swivels offer added strength while still maintaining corrosion resistance and durability to industrial and marine rigging applications.
