University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) researchers are in the process of asking for funding for a project that could eventually lead to titanium mining on the Iron Range. The Iron Range refers to numerous iron-producing ranges embraced within the Lake Superior Region.

CIMPERIAL 861 with InSol Technology is recommended for heavy-duty machining of non-ferrous and ferrous metals including 6000 and 7000 series aluminum, stainless steels, titanium and other exotic alloys.

Erie, Pennsylvania-based Eriez has introduced a new air-operated Burn Table Lift Magnet System, used to move multiple metal parts or cut-outs up and off of burn tables. With a powerful magnetic circuit design, this advanced transfer system can also lift single sheets or plates up to three inches thick from a stack to load the table.
