Altus sells Thermafiber to Owens Corning

Altus Capital Partners, Inc., a private equity investment firm focused on niche middle market manufacturing companies in the U.S., has announced the closing of the sale of Thermafiber, Inc., a leading producer of mineral wool insulation products for commercial, industrial and horticultural applications, to Owens Corning, a leading global producer of residential and commercial building materials, glass-fiber reinforcements and engineered materials for composite systems.
Thermafiber’s products are used in a wide variety of applications requiring thermal, acoustic and fire safety attributes.
Thermafiber, based in Wabash, Indiana and founded in 1934, is part of Altus’ first fund, Altus Capital Partners, L.P., which launched in 2004. This is the third sale of an Altus portfolio company in the past two years.
