Alcoa Howmet expands

Alcoa Howmet, a division of Alcoa Power and Propulsion, a subsidiary of Alcoa Inc., is expanding its Hampton, Virginia, US operations to increase production and capacity. The Hampton plant opened in 1974 and produces investment castings for industrial gas turbines. The Virginia Investment Partnership is providing a USD 500,000 performance-based grant and the Virginia Department of Business Assistance is providing training assistance. The expansion is expected to cost USD 25 million.
