Tubacex will supply 1,000 km of umbilical tubing to Aker Solutions under a new framework agreement for installation at three field developments in the North Sea. These will be used for the control and injection of fluids or corrosion inhibitors. Over the next two years, Tubacex will deliver the tubing, mainly on welded reels following non-destructive and radiographic testing, following manufacture at the company’s factories in Spain and Austria. It is one of the company’s largest umbilical supply contracts to date.
