Stainless steel chemical tank

Richard L Sensenig is a custom metal fabrication company, based in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, that provides a variety of industrial and commercial services such as custom metal fabrication and sheet metal fabrication in metals like stainless steel, aluminum, iron and copper.

The company just finished working on a project for a specialty chemical manufacturer that required an above ground 1800-gallon tank that would be used for mixing chemicals. Richard L Sensenig fabricated the tank out of 304-stainless steel, a ¼” thick plate, an ASME flanged and dished head at the top and a cone at the bottom. Workers also welded access nozzles through the top in order to make a connection with the agitator, fill lines and provide instrumentation. A manway was even built into the side for easy access when cleaning.

Even though the company makes projects for many different industries, stainless steel tanks are becoming an item that clients are asking for more often due to the recent increase in petrochemical and chemical projects across the United States and the rest of the world.
