Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. has acquired Severstal-metiz, a manufacturer of welding consumables in Russia, and a subsidiary of Russian steelmaker Severstal. The transaction includes exclusive distribution rights of the Severstal brand of welding consumables in addition to the acquisition of manufacturing operations. Severstal-metiz’s main manufacturing production facilities are based in Orel, Russia; they also have sites in Ukraine and Europe. The company generated sales revenue of USD 40 million in 2010.
