Titeflex Corp. stays in Springfield

Titeflex Corp., a manufacturer of stainless steel hose, has agreed to stay in Springfield in exchange for a special tax incentive authorized by the city. The tax agreement with Titeflex Corp., which provides an estimated USD 300,000 in tax savings in the next 12 years, was signed by Mayor Mr Domenic Sarno. The agreement will keep about 100 jobs in the city. The company had been considering a move to South Carolina. The agreement calls for the company to retain at least 100 jobs, renovate its plant and partner with city schools in an internship mentoring program. Titeflex Corp. makes braided, stainless steel hose for use in aerospace, automotive and other industries. It has been in Springfield since 1956.
