James Russell Engineering Works (JRE), the manufacturer of aluminum and stainless steel cryogenic transport trailers that haul chemicals and LNG, has been acquired by Worthington Industries. The latter company is one of North America’s largest independent, value-added steel processors and manufacturer of pressure cylinders.
Andre Billman, president of Worthington Industries pressure cylinders business, has stated that JRE’s abilities and products complement the European Artias cryogenic business that Worthington recently purchased. He continued, “With the addition of JRE’s transport trailers, we now are able to support our customers’ storage and transport needs in every component of the LNG and industrial gas ‘mobile pipeline,’ from the oilfield to onsite storage and regasification.”
