The membership organization, worldsteel, has published the 2014 Steel Statistical Yearbook. worldsteel is a membership organization that that represents approximately 170 steel producers, national and regional steel industry associations and steel research institutes.
The organizations new Steel Statistical Yearbook for 2014 offers a cross-section of steel industry statistics for all types of steel including carbon, stainless and even more exotic types of alloys. The resource contains comprehensive statistics from 2004 to 2013 on crude steel production by country and process, steel production by product, steel trade by product, apparent steel use and production of pig iron and directly reduced iron. It also includes data on production and trade of iron ore, and trade of scrap from 2004 to 2013.
The statistics were collected from members of worldsteel and various international organizations. A digital copy of the yearbook can be directly downloaded from worldsteels website or a hard copy can be purchased from its bookshop.
