Last week it was announced that Wood Group, the international energy services company, will acquire Elkhorn Holdings, a Wyoming-based provider of construction services for midstream oil and gas facilities in the US shale market.
In 2012, Elkhorn reported sales of approximately $250 million.

Its 2,200 personnel assist in infrastructure-related services such as pipeline and facility maintenance, instrumentation and electrical, civil and mechanical construction. Elkhorn will still be led by its existing management team under the direction of CEO Sean Sullivan, as the company further develops Wood Group’s US shale business.
The deal is subject to a number of conditions including an anti-trust approval in the US.
