Weldcote C-Prime discs for stainless steel applications

Zika Groups’ Weldcote division has introduced roll-on and turn-on quick-change ceramic C-Prime discs for steel, stainless steel, ferrous, and nonferrous metal applications.

The C-Prime discs can be used for finishing, grinding, deburring, and blending applications, and are manufactured with seven grits from 24 to 120 in the 2-inch disc, and six grits in the 3-inch disc. The turn-on ceramic discs are available in six grits from 36 to 120 in the 2-inch size, and three grits from 36 to 80 in the 3-inch disc.

The proprietary ceramic abrasive grain has a fine crystallized structure that offers improved life, aggressiveness, and self-sharpening features compared to traditional ceramic products, according to the company. It offers high removal rates at fast cutting speeds with lower grinding temperatures and less friction, states the manufacturer.
