Vestas turbines for Blackspring Ridge I

Greengate Power Corp., through its wholly-owned subsidiaries Blackspring Ridge IA Wind Project LP and Blackspring Ridge IB Wind Project LP, has entered into turbine supply and long-term service and maintenance agreements with Vestas-Canadian Wind Technology Inc. for its 300MW Blackspring Ridge I Wind Project. Greengate is expecting to begin construction on Blackspring Ridge I in 2012, with a target commercial operation date of 2013. Under the terms of the turbine supply agreements, Vestas will supply 166 of its V90-1.8MW wind turbines for Blackspring Ridge I. Deliveries are expected to commence in Q3 2012. Blackspring Ridge I is currently permitted by the Alberta Utilities Commission for this model of Vestas wind turbine. Pursuant to the terms of the long-term service and maintenance agreements, Vestas will provide ten years of service and maintenance for Blackspring Ridge I at a predetermined cost. The scope of these agreements covers all scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance relating to the Vestas wind turbines at Blackspring Ridge I.
