CGTechs physics-based NC Program Optimization software module, VERICUT Force, analyzes and optimizes cutting conditions throughout CNC Program operations.
The software, which was recently launched in the Netherlands at Van Hoorn Carbide Technical Centre in Weert, makes the most effective NC program for the given material, cutting tool, and machining conditions. This results in time savings, and improved cutting tool and machine life.
At its launching in the Netherlands, live cutting demonstrations of optimized machining cycles for hard metals were run on the companys Hermle C12U machining centre.
VERICUT Force determines the maximum reliable feed rate for a given cutting condition based on four factors; for on the cutter, spindle power, maximum chip thickness, and maximum allowable feed rate. It analyzes tool geometry and parameters, material properties of the stock and cutting tool, detailed cutting tool edge geometry, and VERICUT cut-by-cut contact conditions.
The software is best with difficult machine materials, especially multi-axis cuts such as five-axis flank milling, for machined parts within the aerospace, automotive, industrial, and oil & gas markets.
The CNC machine cuts in the most efficient, fast, and reliable way, which provides significant benefits when applied to any precision machining operation using challenging materials such as titanium, high nickel super alloys such as Hastelloy, Inconel and Waspaloy, duplex and stainless steel, and any work hardening materials.
