On Thursday July 16th, the second morning of the Valve World Americas Conference, there will be three educational workshops held concurrently from 10:30am to noon.
The first workshop will focus on Variables in the Design of a Valve and will be moderated by Carlos Davila from Crane. The panel will include Paul Heald from Bonney Forge, Gaurang Shah from Williams, Ross Waters from CG Industrial Specialties Ltd., Kyle Daniels from Clarke Industrial Engineering and a representative from Xomox (to be announced within the upcoming weeks).
Discussion will be around the variable factors that have to be considered today in total valve design. Manufacturers now need to take into account all solutions that are currently available to customers on a global scale, while working on a new design. Customers nowadays are less reluctant to purchase valves from suppliers based outside the US. Today, global standards and end-user standards from global companies and their needs have to be considered. The session will have several experts from different valve companies discuss the different variables required today to be successful in the complete design of a valve.
