Vale says Sudbury nickel cut needed

Market forces have left Vale do Rio Doce with no choice but to slow output at its operations in Ontario. Vale said on 16 April that it will shut its nickel mining and processing operations in Sudbury, Ontario, for eight weeks beginning 1 June.
