USD 25 million surface treatment plant

Rockwood Holdings, Inc. and the Michigan Economic Development Commission will build a new USD 25 million manufacturing plant in Blackman Township, Michigan, for Rockwood’s Chemetall U.S. Inc. business unit. The plant will produce surface treatment chemicals used to pre-treat metal used in the manufacture of durable goods and the cleaning of equipment used in several US industries. Chemetall US Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwood Holdings, is a specialty chemical company that provides industrial products used in the manufacturing of durable goods. Products include metalworking fluids and cleaners, in addition to coatings that prepare metal surfaces for painting.
