USA: Technip wins subsea contract

Technip has announced that it has been awarded a contract by W&T Offshore Inc. for the Daniel Boone field development in the Gulf of Mexico. This field is located in Green Canyon Block 646, at a water depth of 1349m and will be tied back to the Front Runner Spar. The contract covers: engineering for the installation, welding and installation of a production rigid flow line (23mi long) terminating at the spar with a flexible riser; design, fabrication and installation of an in line structure and PLET; and engineering for the installation and installation of an umbilical (23mi long), jumper and flying leads. Offshore installation is scheduled for the second quarter of 2009, using the Deep Blue, Technip’s deepwater pipe lay vessel. First production for Daniel Boone is expected to be in the second half of 2009.
