The US International Trade Commission has decided that revoking the existing countervailing duty order on stainless steel plate from South Africa and the existing antidumping duty orders on stainless steel plate from Belgium, Korea, South Africa, and Taiwan would most likely result in the continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. The US ITC also decided that revoking the existing antidumping duty order on stainless steel plate from Italy would not be likely to result in a continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. Due to the Commission’s determinations, the existing orders on import of these products from Belgium, Korea, South Africa, and Taiwan will remain in place. Due to the Commission’s negative determination, the existing order on imports of these products from Italy will be terminated. This action falls under the 5 year sunset review process required by the Uruguay Round Agreements Act, which was instituted on 1 June 2010 regarding stainless steel plate from Belgium, Italy, Korea, South Africa and Taiwan.
