Universal Stainless and Alloy Products has received the S-400 and S-1000 approvals from GE Aviation for its Bridgeville, Dunkirk and North Jackson facilities.
The company is now confirmed as a Certified Materials Test Laboratory for the testing of materials for GE Aviation as well as a material supplier that has achieved the required quality processes to meet GE Aviation’s standards for products.
“Our success in meeting GE’s stringent S-400 and S-1000 requirements represents a further critical achievement in the aircraft engine market for Universal Stainless,” commented Chris Zimmer, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Universal Stainless. “With the addition of these GE Aviation approvals, our laboratories and quality systems company-wide have now been certified by all three of the leading aircraft engine manufacturers in the world.”
