Tube separation assembly

Production Fastening Systems LLC, a New Orleans based stud welding distributor, has launched its new Tube Separation Assembly (T-SEP) to help reduce and prevent crevice corrosion for pneumatic tubing for offshore, shipbuilding, and steel fabrication installations. Current methods of separating parallel runs of pneumatic tubing utilize “saddles” which allow corrosive elements to gather at the point of separation and cause crevice corrosion of the tubing. The T-SEP is designed to allow corrosive elements to escape the tubing before crevice corrosion can develop while maintaining a 1/8in separation of the tubing. Through the use of a half round I-rod, a durable thermoplastic, and grade 316 stainless steel separators, the round-to-round surface design helps to avoid contact with the tubing and prevent build-up of corrosive liquids at the point of separation of the tubing, allowing corrosive elements to easily escape. The assembly also includes a 1in wide by 1/4in thick flat bar in either grade 316 stainless steel or grade 6061 aluminum, as well as grade 316 stainless steel mounting hardware.
