The Board of Directors of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) has appointed Trudi Dunlap as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer. This takes effect in April 2026. Dunlap will succeed James J. Robinson, CAE. Robinson is retiring May 2026 after a long and distinguished career with the Society.
Dunlap brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served TMS for 26 years in various capacities. Her appointment reflects both her longstanding commitment to the Society and her deep understanding of its operations, volunteer leadership, membership, and mission. Dunlap most recently held the position of Senior Director of New Initiatives and Operational Integration. In this role, she continued education, membership, volunteerism, awards, customer service, and new initiatives development. She also directed events. Dunlap holds both an MBA and Certified Meeting Planner credential.
In the months leading to the April 1, 2026, transition date, Robinson will work closely with Dunlap to ensure that a smooth changeover is achieved. The Society is well-poised for a seamless transition, ensuring stability in its strategic direction and a continued commitment to operational excellence.
