The environmentally friendly CLP alternative

Cortec’s new EcoAir® Biobased clean, lubricate, protect (CLP) product, provides excellent penetrating, lubricating, and rust-preventing action, while also being an environmentally friendly option.
While CLPs are traditionally made from hazardous mineral oils and other petro-based solvents, the EcoAir® Biobased CLP utilizes a canola oil base, and contains 89 per cent USDA certified bio-based content.
The product can be used for loosening rusted parts, and protecting equipment components from wear and corrosion in an industrial, shop, and home environment. It also leaves behind a corrosion-resistant layer for up to 24 months, however if needed, the layer is easy to remove with common detergents.
EcoAir® Biobased CLP can be sprayed on carbon steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and aluminum alloys.
With functions such as loosening frozen and rusted bolts, extending life of machine parts by reducing friction and wear, and providing multi-metal corrosion protection, typical applications can include:
• In-plant machining

• Bar and chain oiling

• Flange lubrication

• Lock and hinge maintenance

• Mould release
