Tenaris has been recognized as a worldsteel Sustainability Champion for the seventh consecutive year, underscoring the company’s commitment to promoting sustainability within the global steel industry.
Worldsteel is an international industrial association representing steel producers globally. Its sustainability champion program recognizes steel companies demonstrating exceptional leadership in sustainability across key performance indicators. These include material efficiency, environmental management systems, lost time injury frequency rates, employee training, investment in new processes and products, and economic value distributed.
Tenaris’s sustainability journey is guided by its industrial values and features a strong commitment to decarbonizing its operations, aiming to reduce CO₂ emissions by 30 percent by 2030, compared to 2018 levels.
In line with its sustainability goals, Tenaris has allocated around 30% of its capital expenditure to projects contributing to reducing carbon emissions and other environmental objectives. These include investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency improvements, and air quality enhancements across its global operations.
