Tenaris Increases Capacity, Streamlines Supply Chain with New Service Center

Tenaris’s new pipe service center in Soyo, in the Northern province of Zaire in Angola, is now operational, providing logistic and operational support and expert services to customers in the region.

“Angola is a promising market for Tenaris in the region. Our investment in the Soyo service center allows us to increase our capacity to provide high-end products and related services with shorter response times, better supporting our customers and the increase in oil and gas production in the country,” said Tenaris Commercial Senior Director Juan Juanicotena.

The new Soyo service center spans 16,000 square meters, has a storage capacity of 5,000 tons of tubulars and a warehouse for the indoor storage of pipe accessories.  It will soon offer new services such as a Dopeless® technology self-contained unit for the on-site application of the dope free solution, which eliminates the need for running or storage compounds. The new investment also brings growth to the local workforce, in support of Angola’s local content regulations, and the transfer of technology in the country.
