Strong demand for Sandvik medical wire

Sandvik is supporting the fight against the coronavirus by supplying precision wire to ventilator manufacturers. The precision wire manufacturing facility in Palm Coast, Florida is busy and works double shifts to produce the EXERA® medical wire that are used in ventilators. The need for more ventilators is great in the coronavirus pandemic.
“We are happy to increase our production of the wire that goes into ventilators and thus be able support the fight against the coronavirus,” says Gary Davies, Head of Business Unit Medical and Production Unit Manager at Palm Coast.
Thanks to the agile way of working at the Palm Coast production unit, Sandvik could make this change rapidly to support this case of great importance to save people’s lives.
