Members of STI/SPFA have elected new members to its 2012 Board of Directors at the organization’s recent annual meeting in Tucson, Arizona. Officers for 2012 were then elected by the board at its first meeting of the year, also in Tucson.
Terry Cooper of Acterra Group, Inc. is the new 2012 president of STI/SPFA. Also appointed were Kevin Gallagher, Caldwell Tanks, Vice President, and Sonny Underwood of Mid-South Steel Products, Inc., Treasurer. Past President Tim Woofter, Stanwade Metal Products, Inc., was appointed chairman of the board.
The new elected directors include Steve Hammoor, Enerfab/Brighton Tru-Edge Heads, who represents the Pressure Vessel Section of the membership; and Tim Racicot, CIC Group Inc./Nooter, who is also chair of the Safety & Health Committee. Each will serve a three-year term. David Watson, Watco Tanks, was also elected to a full three-year term, having completed a two-year appointment to fill a vacancy.
STI/SPFA’s Affiliate Members elected Jerry Schollmeyer, Morrison Bros. Inc., to serve a two-year term as representative to the Board and chair of the Affiliate Member Committee.
Continuing their terms on the 2011 STI/SPFA Board of Directors are Ralph Carpenter, American SpiralWeld Pipe Co., representing Steel Water Pipe Section Members; Tony Honey, Modern Welding Co., Technical Committee chair and representing the Shop-Fabricated Tank Section; and Steve Meeker, Hamilton Tanks LLC, chair of the Government/Public Affairs Committee.
