Ryerson will open a 25, 000 sq/ft service facility in El Paso, Texas, with operations to begin mid-October. Local sales and operations staff will cover the distribution of carbon, aluminum and stainless steel products while providing service to the El Paso/Juarez, Mexico market. Currently, Ryerson uses Mexico based facilities in Nogales and Mexicali and a US based facility in McAllen, Texas, to service the Mexico market. In addition to completing three acquisitions for 2010, Texas Steel Processing, Cutting Edge Metal Processing and SFI Gray Steel Inc, the company also opened a service facility in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
