AMCI, headquartered in Terryville, Connecticut, has developed a family of IP67 rated, stainless steel resolver transducers. The transducers are designed for harsh environments such as food processing, wash downs, and steel mills. Options include 303 or 304 stainless steel housing and shaft, hi-temp rating, and a variety of mounting styles. The IP67 rated product line comes standard with a 1/4in, 3/8in, or 5/8in stainless steel shaft and an oversized double row sealed bearing. The input shaft in each of these stainless steel resolvers extends through the internal core of the resolver rotor windings. Mechanically connected to the shaft of the controlled machine, these transducers are subject to severe conditions such as mechanical shock, vibration, and possibly contaminates such as coolants, saltwater mist, and caustic vapors. High performance applications like those found in paper factories, steel mills, ship loading, and mining applications are the inspiration for these extreme-duty rotary sensors. AMCI also considered food grade requirements when designing these resolvers. The non-porous nature of stainless steel will not support growth of mold, mildew, or bacteria. This provides a hygienic, easy to clean solution for customers manufacturing, processing, or packaging food.
